Cape Town does experience very hot days in the summer and a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water will be needed. a long-sleeved sleeve button-up shirt with a collar provides great sun coverage.

The weather on Table Mountain can change instantly, so a light mid-layer and a rain jacket will ensure that you stay dry and warm if you find yourself in between the clouds.

Hiking will make you peckish so bringing a snack for the way up is always a good idea
